WHAT GOES DOWN IN THE WILDERNESS
The Calm in the Wilderness is a ministry involved in serving the community of God’s people. Our organization is founded on ministering God’s Word in the wilderness and providing what we can for those less fortunate. Therefore, as part of our ministry, we are constructing care packages to hand out and are accepting donations to help provide for those in need.
Your generosity helps someone stay warm, maintain hygiene, and feel a sense of worth. For youth in the Juvenile Justice System, it means receiving encouragement, prayer, and the truth of God’s Word. For individuals on the streets of Tacoma, it means being reminded that they are seen, valued, and loved.

We want to split the rocks and pour out what we can to those in need.
WHAT DOES YOUR CONTRIBUTION PROVIDE?
These care packages cost us on average $15 - $20 each and contain essentials such as socks, wash rags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair combs, hand sanitizer, water bottles, wet wipes, snacks, feminine products and more. Our goal right now is to raise enough to be able to provide around 20 care packages a month, for one whole year. Our current goal will help to cover the packages for the entire year, as well as support any unforeseen costs.

For a minimum donation of just a $1, you are not only serving those in need and helping someone keep their feet warm at night, but you are serving God.

• $1 contributes toward a care package item.
• $15–$20 provides a complete care package.
• $25 places a Bible into the hands of a justice-involved youth.
• $50 equips a small group inside juvenile detention with devotional and counseling materials.
